Welcome, on this site you will learn about the Free-to-air craze FTA. MPEG-2 is a worldwide satellite transmission standard for digital broadcasting. It is the wave of the future, because of the simple economics that can allow 8 or even 10 video signals to occupy the same space as one channel of analog transmission. Just as some analog signals can be scrambled for subscription use, digital channels can be transmitted either scrambled or (in the clear). In-The-Clear is known in the digital TV world as FTA or Free-To-Air. There is literally hundreds of Free Channels Available to North Americans for Viewing. National public broadcasters have adopted MPEG-2 as a cost-effective way to distribute their signals on limited budgets.

Viewsat VS2000 Platinum LITE

The Viewsat Platinum Lite was developed to meet the demand for a lower priced unit with the same power as the Viewsat Platinum. In order to accomplish this, we took the Viewsat Platinum and trimmed the fat. The Lite does not include a card reader or Dolby output. Standard remote included. The Lite also has one set of composite outputs. Other than that, it is just as user friendly and powerful as it's big brother, the Viewsat Platinum. Check with your dealer for pricing. This unit uses Platinum firmware.

VIEWSAT 7000 pvr

The long anticipated VIEWSAT PVR 7000 is finally here! It took us a little longer to release the PVR than we anticipated. We wanted to make sure that the customer would be getting a high quality product. This is a dual tuner PVR! Any standard IDE hard drive can be easily installed through the front access panel. This new addition to the Viewsat product line is sure to be a winner.
